Community Service

Some examples of community services are given below:

  2. I have trained medical graduates for participating in the International Physiology Quiz at the University of Malaysia during 2012 and 2013.
  3. I have submitted a proposal to International organization Women in World Neuroscience (WWN), which was accepted and have organized an international conference, entitles “The Expanding Role of Female Neuroscientists in the 21st Century” 10-11 October 2011 at UBD.
  4. I have developed Neuroscience Society in Brunei and linked it with WWN and International Brain Research Organization (IBRO)
  5. Nobel Prize winning Patch Clamp Technique in Pakistan DAWN August 3, 2010
  6. I have organized a series Safety and Security workshops in collaboration with Federal Civil Defence Society of Pakistan. ICCBS personals are trained, educated, examined and certified for the courses:
    1. Fire prevention (25th May to 8th of June 2009)
    2. Rescue course (25th May to 27th June 2009)
  7. I have also written one Safety book with photographs supplied by ICCBS Safety team. This book contains four sections: General Safety, Student Safety, Departmental Safety and Research associated appendices. I have also edited two more books based on the presentations of the workshops.
  8. I have also organized All Pakistan Patch Clamp Workshop in collaboration with ICCBS Neuroscience group. This workshop was run by Patch Clamp Expert Dr Andrew Moorhouse.
  9. First IBRO School of Neuroscience Pakistan March 2007: An International 10 days workshop organized in PCMD with the financial and intellectual help of IBRO, Aga Khan University, Karachi University and HEC.

  13. I have organized Life saving and First Aid techniques workshops for supervisors for off campus visit of female students on the invitation from Advisor of Student Affairs. This workshop was held on 24th and 25th of April (5 hrs/day) 2006
  14. I have organized a Life saving and First Aid workshop with the collaboration of Red Crescent UAE during the period of 6th Feb till first of March 2005. About 200 successful UAEU staff and few selected students received the First Aid certificates from Red Crescent on 23rd of March 2005.
  15. On 30th of March 2005, I was invited by the College of Engineering Safety committee to give a workshop on Personal safety and emergency measurements
  16. I organized the first Safety workshop for the Faculty and Non Faculty academics during the period of 29th August till 1st of September 2004. I managed to write /photographed one Safety book with the collaboration of Dr Tom Weeks. This book contains four section: General Safety, Student Safety, Departmental Safety and Research associated appendices. I have also edited two more books based on the presentations of the workshops.
  17. I have organized a Personal Safety workshop between 22 September to 29 September 2004 for the administrative staff.
  18. I have helped to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between University of Newcastle and UAEU. This MOU was signed on 20th of September 2004 by Professor Bill Hogarth is Pro Vice Chancellor, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, University of Newcastle and Professor Joseph Hill, Dean of College o f Science UAE University.
  19. Safety Book and Workshops Wrote a Safety Book and organized a series of workshops for the College of Sciences and Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of UAE 2004. The proceeding of the workshop has been developed in to a CDs and Videotapes.
  20. I have also helped student’s Affairs for filling questionnaire related to drug abuse. I was also involved in giving lectures and workshops for special program and continuing Education centre.

  23. Organized a three day teacher workshop for Pakistan Islamia Higher Secondary School between 27 and 31 of March for different innovative methods of teaching
