  • Teaching:I have more than thirty-five years of experience in teaching in Neuroscience and Biological Sciences in various universities in Australia, USA, UAE, Bahrain, Brunei, and Pakistan.
  • Grants: generated over 2.3 million USD in grants from different private and government agencies of six countries.
  • Stroke meter: a rapid diagnostic test for stroke and other vascular disorders such as schizophrenia.
  • Publications: Around 70 articles in refereed journals, edited 10 books & wrote 11 book chapters, two invited reviews along with more than 100 national and international referred conference abstracts.
  • Mentored thirty-four postgraduate students.
  • Invited as keynote or plenary speaker at over 80 international conferences.

  • Established “Nobel Prize winning” technology of Patch Clamping for the first time in Pakistan, at the Panjwani Centre for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research, University of Karachi.
